Cam’ai, Hello. My name is Dena Ayak’aq Drake. I’m an artist and designer. I use porcupine quills, dentalium shells, grouse feathers, seal skin and calfskin in my work. Learning new art techniques is one of my most favorite things to do in life. I sometimes take pics and want to share those with you.

I’m Alaska Native and grew up in the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta in Bethel, Alaska. I’m a blend of Yup‘ik, Athabascan and White.

I hope you enjoy my website. Quyana!

Note: Many of the images were photographed while I was working on them. I think there's beauty in the process, as so in the end.

Cama’i is hello and quyana is thank you in the yup’ik language (yugtun).
